Adult RE Classes meet in the UUFF main building. During Choir Sundays, we meet in the common room in the basement. On Non-Choir Sundays, we meet in the back of the sanctuary. Discussion begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 10:45 a.m. For more information, contact Adult RE Committee Members Brooke Eldredge, Earl McShane or Nancy McShane.
THINK TANK
The Adult Religious Education team is expanding the program to include a weeknight series of meetings centered around the discussion books or videos. Each topic will be broken into sections and held over two or more meetings. The program will be held each 1st and 3rd Wednesday evening from 7-9pm in the Fellowship Sanctuary beginning September 19. Feel free to invite friends outside of the fellowship. The program is intended to help us each expand our spiritual horizons and cultural understandings.
We will begin with the video “The Great Story” by Unitarian minister Michael Dowd, a popular speaker at UU fellowships, and General Assembly. Dowd and his wife, Connie Barlow, (some of you may remember them speaking here a few years back) have traveled the country spreading the 14-billion-year epic of Cosmos, Earth, Life and humanity told in meaningful and inspiring ways. Over a four session time frame, participants will watch an hour’s worth of video and then reflect on what they have heard and learned. The Great Story series will be held over September 19, October 3 and 17 and November 7.
