UUFF Activities – Week of 6/20/2010

June 18th, 2010 · No Comments · News, activities

Sunday Sermon
The service this Sunday will be presented by Claire Detels, our wonderful pianist and musical historian, and entitled “Can Music Change the World? The Case of the African-American Spiritual.”  (This is a change in the previously published schedule.) The choir will be participating with special musical selections.
Choir Rehearsal
Choir members will rehearse Sunday at 10am for the service.

Camp UU
Camp UU continues this week with “Composting 101″, led by Quinn Montana. The kids will learn about environmental stewardship while setting up a compost system for the fellowship.

Beacon Deadline
This Sunday is the July Beacon deadline! Please email your articles directly to Courtney Montgomery-Burnett atadlib77@gmail.com. There will be no exceptions for late additions this month because the Beacon will “go to press” early so that it can be completed before our Administrator leaves for vacation.

Office Hours Temporary Change
Nancy Ward will be out of the office from June 28th until July 20th.  Courtney has graciously agreed to take over some of the basic tasks but office hours will be very limited and probably irregular.  Phone messages will be checked regularly but email will get a quicker response. If you have a question for a specific person, please contact that person directly. Otherwise, email the office atuuff@sbcglobal.net as usual. Courtney can check email from the office and from home.  And remember, if you need someone’s contact information, our complete member directory is available online. Contact the office for access information.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there!
