UUFF Activities Weekend of March 20-21

March 19th, 2010 · No Comments · Events, Religious Education, Services & Sermons, Stewardship

There is one more opportunity to pledge (and socialize) this week during our pledge drive: Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 at the ministers’ house, 833 Bryan in Fayetteville.  If you can’t attend this event, Jim Longino will have a pledge table in the foyer after the service Sunday.

“The Challenges of Democracy” adult RE class meets Sunday morning at 9am with Rev. Dave Hunter. All are welcome to attend the discussion.

“The Stewardship of Water” RE class has been cancelled due to lack of attendance. Regular RE classes will meet downstairs at 11am.

This Sunday, Rev. Dave Hunter asks “Who’s in Charge (of your life)?”  We will also have a ceremony to recognize the newest members of our congregation.

There will be a New Member Reception and Open House Sunday afternoon, from 4-6pm, at Dave and Kerry’s home. Everyone is invited and RSVPs would be appreciated. Call 444-8168 or email dhhunter@sbcglobal.net.

This event overlaps with the pledge Tea so you can do both! 833 Bryan Lane (off Mission Blvd., the second street north of North Street. 3rd house on the right.)

Sunday is the deadline for the April Beacon. Please send your submissions directly to the editor, Courtney Montgomery-Burnett at adlib77@gmail.com.  Also, if you are interested in coming in once a month to help collate and fold the Beacon, please contact Nancy at uuff@sbcglobal.net. We usually do this on the last Wednesday of the month at 9:30am, though another time may be possible if there is interest. It takes about 1 ½ hours and is also a nice social opportunity.
